CDCP 2026 Update: Important Renewal & Application Deadlines

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is continuing into the 2026–2027 benefit year, and we want to make sure all our patients stay covered without interruption.

For Existing CDCP Members

If you are currently enrolled in CDCP, renewal is required every year.

• Renewal opens: April 15, 2026

• Renewal deadline: June 1, 2026

⚠️ Important:
If you do not renew by June 1, 2026, your coverage will end on June 30, 2026.

If you miss the renewal deadline:

• You will need to submit a new application

• There may be a gap in your coverage

• Any dental treatment during the gap will NOT be covered or reimbursed

Even if you recently applied (on or before April 14, 2026), you must still complete your renewal before June 1, 2026 to maintain continuous coverage.

For New Applicants

If you are not yet enrolled in CDCP, please note the following timelines:

• Applications for the current (2025–2026) benefit year close: April 14, 2026

• Applications for the new (2026–2027) benefit year open: June 2, 2026

Maintaining active CDCP coverage helps ensure your dental care—such as exams, cleanings, and treatments—remains accessible and affordable. Missing deadlines could lead to unexpected out-of-pocket costs.
